Job’s patience and what it means to be “utterly humbled” Part 2

As America continues in this dark period where everything is turned upside down from “right is wrong” and “wrong is right”, consider all the truth tellers who have come forward to bear witness to the Truth. They are like Watchmen on the Wall, messengers of the Lord. We call them Truthtellers, also known as Whistleblowers. In every facet of our lives someone is forced to come forward and face the lies with the intent to deceive and destroy our values and our lives.

Wouldn’t you expect God to move believers to confront liars, as Jesus did with the Pharisees? Yes, it can be a lonely and humbling experience. However, think about the example of Jesus: He was alone, spit on and beaten on that brutal way of the Cross. Today’s accusers also endure a lonely experience similar to that of Christ, “walking to the cross.” This “walk” is humbling and requires perseverance and patience to get through it intact. James 5:11 says, “Indeed, we count those who endure blessed. You have heard of the perseverance of Job, and you have seen the end which the Lord intended: that the Lord is very compassionate and merciful.”

Military CBRN expert and student of Bible prophecy, Major Mike Gary, continues to develop this concept of the “End of the Lord” with his personal story and how the Book of Job has related to his current life situation. Job was a righteous man, but he fell into a rut of justifying and defending himself to his friends.
Ultimately, Job fully receives and understands God’s lesson for him. We know this at the end of the book in Job 42:1-6: “Then Job answered the Lord and said, ‘I know that you can do all things, and that no purpose of yours can be denied you. You asked: ‘ Who is this that hides counsel without knowledge? Therefore I have uttered what I did not understand, things too wonderful for me, that I did not know. Hear, please, and let me speak; You said, “I will question you and you will answer me”. I have heard of you by the ear of the ear, but now my eyes see you. Therefore, I hate myself, and I repent in dust and ashes'”.

God wants His people to be fully on board with Him, fully selfless and humble to prepare for God to fulfill His greater plans. The Bible tells us that God makes sure His remnant is ready and fully trusting in Him before He moves divinely in the affairs of man. God restores and ensures that His people are righteous in Him, in order to achieve the “ends of the Lord”. Read more: Word | House of Destiny
